About
This mirror started in 2023 as a single box serving Debian to a handful of machines, and grew into a public mirror once the upstream operators accepted it into their rotation. It is funded privately and run on a best-effort basis — there is no SLA, but outages rarely last more than a few hours.

Bandwidth policy
Package manager traffic is not shaped. Bulk rsync clients are asked to
cap themselves at 50 MB/s and to sync outside 18:00–23:00 UTC, when the HTTPS load peaks. Clients
that ignore this may be throttled without notice.
What is not mirrored
Source archives older than two releases, and any component whose upstream licence forbids redistribution, are excluded. Snapshot archives are out of scope — use the upstream snapshot service for those.
